Recently I day-tripped to Portland, Oregon. Even though I’ve lived in the state for over two years and a couple months at this point, I had never been to the City of Roses. Scores of friends and acquaintances reassured me of the urban excitement and cultural phenomenon of Portland, so I was eager to visit.
As Kati and I sampled the local cuisine, walked downtown, explored the Pearl District and Hawthorne Avenue, and hit some rare shopping opportunities, I captured a few photographs of the city as we experienced it — but all with an iPhone.
