PowerPlant “Friday” Dance Party

Sharing a new rendition of a pop song has become a viral cultural phenomenon, thanks to the modern marvels of social media like Youtube, Facebook, and Twitter.

When I was in Colorado working with students at a missions project called PowerPlant, our staff team loved having fun (meet the leadership team here). So during an energetic session called Good Afternoon PowerPlant, they hatched an idea: What’s better than a cover of Rebecca Black’s hit single “Friday” to start an impromptu dance party?

Colby Huftalen, ever the good-humoured musician, donned his guitar and prepared the students for the surprise they were about to receive.
