The teenage years hold such potential energy for growth and fashioning identity. That’s a primary reason I volunteer with junior high students and lead a small group of middle school boys. I think mentoring is incredibly vital because it’s the avenue through which the younger learn how to build a life from a trustworthy friend a few years or decades ahead.
One of the first events I joined as a volunteer leader with Table Rock Fellowship’s junior high crew was a trip to Waterworks Park in Redding, California in 2010. I put together a little video to document just how much fun we had.
