We all need advice from time to time. There’s no shame in admitting we could use some help evaluating something in our lives. Often, it helps to gain the perspective of someone outside of your situation to better understand what’s important and what you should do.

This is one of the great things about quotes: there are a lot of other people in the world, and a lot of them have said really smart things. We can learn from their ideas before having to figure things out by ourselves.

  3. Be yourself, see others, watch others for examples of whatever it is you wanna be better at, and if they fit with still being you, the real you, learn from them. The day my nephew got hit by a bus, I had spent the morning reading about hugs, then that day I found myself in a situation where words could not help. So, being myself, a non lover of cuddles for half a life, I cuddled my sister all night…and this is what she needed. Be flexible, see what things you admire in others, and if it serves you to be more like them, wthout changing your being, do that tooooooooooo. Examples of immense and tender kindness have been one of the best blessings of my life!
