The Variable Life’s official book cover design has arrived. Watch the video to see the first printed copies arrive.

The past few weeks have been quite the whirlwind. Thanksgiving was a welcome respite from all the activities of routine, and it was refreshing to lounge with family and enjoy a big, traditional Thanksgiving dinner—the first one Kati and I have ever hosted at The Weirick Estate! How was your Thanksgiving? Full of rest, honest conversations, and the simple pleasures of food and people you love, I hope.
Let’s get to the main thing for today:
Book Cover Reveal!
The doorbell rang the other day, and I ran to the door to find THIS package:
The Variable Life‘s official cover design has arrived:
I’m so grateful for all the work my friend and designer, Ben, has put into this project, and these advance proof copies were a test run to see how it looks in real, ink-and-paper, 3D life.
Take a look at the book cover, up close:
Pretty rad, huh? The Variable Life finally has a face for all the stories it carries.
(What do you think? Do you get it? My dad did right away.)

This week is stacking up to be quite eventful.
- As I’m sharing this with you here, I’m waiting to hear when a special mini-project goes live on another site—a really big platform. It will be full of several more excerpts you’ll be able to see before the printed version is released! I’ll share it on the email newsletter first (you can sign up here if you haven’t yet). If you’re on the email list, you are the people I’m glad to share things with before anyone else, and there’s room for anyone else who wants to join in.
- PLUS, this week we may be able to start taking pre-orders for the book! When we launch the Kickstarter campaign to crowdfund the book publishing, it will give you a chance to order the book before it’s officially released—along with other limited edition rewards. More on that soon, first on the email newsletter.
Thanks for being on this journey with me. Have a great first week of Advent, and I’ll chat with you soon—like, maybe even within a couple days with more news…
